Children’s Ministry

Helping Kids Know Jesus and Grow in Faith

Our Children’s Ministry is a vibrant, welcoming space where kids can learn about God in a way that’s fun, safe, and age-appropriate. We believe children are a vital part of the church family, and we’re passionate about helping them discover who Jesus is and how much He loves them.

What to Expect:
During the Sunday sermon, children age 3 to grade 5 are invited to join our dedicated kids’ ministry team for a time of worship, teaching, crafts, and play. Each week, we explore a Bible story, engage in meaningful activities, and create space for kids to ask questions and grow in their faith.

Nursery Care

We offer nursery care for infants and toddlers (ages 0–2) during the service. Our nursery is a calm, nurturing environment staffed by caring volunteers who are trained and screened. Parents are welcome to stay with their little ones until they feel comfortable.

Our Environment

Safe & Secure – All volunteers are screened and trained.
Welcoming & Inclusive – Every child is valued and loved.
Engaging & Fun – We use creative storytelling, music, and hands-on learning.

Registration

To help us serve your family better, we encourage first-time visitors to pre-register their children. This makes check-in quick and easy, and ensures we’re ready to welcome your child with care.

Whether your child is shy or outgoing, new to church or familiar with it, they’ll find a place to belong and thrive.

Kid to Camp Applications

Sooke Baptist has a fund which helps pay the cost of children and youth to attend Vancouver Island summer camps such as Camp Qwanoes or Camp Imadene. If you are interested in attending a summer camp this year and would like to apply for funding, please see the handout in the foyer or email the church office for a digital copy. Application deadline is March 31.
